Season’s Changing

Can that really be … gasp … an FO? Finally, my Lacy Vesper is done!

Specs
Pattern: Vesper
Needles: 2.75 mm.
Yarn: Online Linie 134 Candy; 100% cotton; fingering weight; 933m (six skeins); No 49, a gleaming brown.
Mods: I only changed the gauge, CO, BO, pattern, sleeves, neck, cuff and hems. The lace pattern is from here. I skipped the stockinette column at the outer edges of the given lace pattern, since that made it look much more ‘lacy’.

And is that really a new summer knit? To be precise, a monsoon knit! All juicy and bright and tangy like the best of monsoon fruits.

  1. Beautiful sweater mods! And I can’t wait to see what your monsoon knit is going to be. That color makes me swoon.

  2. Just happened onto your blog through Pinterest. What books/sites etc. would you recommend to someone who wanted to get started with/lean how to knit? Your things are a beautiful and have totally inspired me to actually “try” to learn to knit. It has been on my bucket list for years!
    Thanks!

    1. Thanks Robyn!
I actually learnt to knit as a very young child, so may not be qualified to say what would work for an adult beginner. Watch the videos and articles at knittinghelp.com, practice a bit, then find a project you’d love to make, because that will be a huge motivator.

And if you haven’t already, you MUST join ravelry.com … so much fun, and there’s a world full of knitters to turn to for help if you get stuck.
